Q was birthed out of necessity. Melissa and I (Co-Founders of A Kick In the Pants Publishing) had a group of friends that wanted to get together to have some fun and get to know each other better. We started to think about different things we could all do. There were games like Trivial Pursuit... but honestly... that seemed... well... trivial. There were other options too... but none of them seemed to help us to get to know each other better. So... while I was on an airplane for a business trip, I started to make a list of questions that I would want to ask these friends... weird questions... fun questions... deep questions... Then, I started to ask the people I was traveling with some of the questions from my list. Each question seemed to inspire great memories and launch fun conversations. So... I thought we might be on to something... Once I got back home, I put some of my favorite questions together and simply called the game: "Q." Then we tried it with our friends. At first, we were only going to play Q for an hour. But, once we got started... nobody wanted to stop. We played for 3 hours straight! The game inspired a lot of laughs... but it also sparked some incredible stories and conversations. After that night, our friends started to ask us if they could get a copy of Q to play with their families and other friends. So we tweaked the design and made up a few more copies of Q. We kept hearing back about Q. People were asking to use it at parties... on planes... in cars... even on dates... More importantly, we were hearing stories of friends really connecting... families talking... and couples finding things out about each other that they had never known. We decided that we wanted to see more of that in the world... so Melissa improved the design and I worked on the questions, and we came up with the current version of Q... Q friends. The response has been amazing. And now... we have launched a second, more romantic version of Q. That's Q dates. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have. Plus... keep checking back.
